Journey: When the trip is more important than the destination. Where are we going? What lies ahead of me?
You go into the void, and meet each of the tribes. Your actions decide the story. The goal is either to leave again, or make a way you can survive in the void. Whether that is to become half void through an experiment, go outside the void border and deal with a monster, or some other option that I may have ideas for later, or just leaving again, it's all up to you. You may not even meet everyone.
Computer: searching for all information related to Void! filtering for all UT and and Anti void- related results! please give a moment! (since its YOUR lore void! I hope! you're gonna! you know! PROVIDE IT IN THIS CASE- XD! )
There's a document that contains a photocopy and rewritten text of a journal labeled "The Flora, Fauna, and traditions of The Void".
The first pages of the Journal go over the plants and animals of the void, and then you reach a page labeled "How Void may affect Osega". There's first an entry about what was known about void infection at the time, and then a page that has the sub-label 'undead'. It briefly mentions how some form of void infection may cause some kind of zombie-like beings, it then brings up a list that reads:
When someone/something sapient dies in close proximity to a void crystal, it creates a Ghost called a Quvbi. Quvbi don't have anything tying it to the mortal realm other than its will and minimal void magic, it has properties of stereotypical ghosts with the ability to turn intangible and phase through things, turn invisible, float and fly, and have the ability of possession if needed. Prolonged possession will leave the host with mild symptoms of void infection, even if the host is non-sapient. Creation of this ghost type doesn’t happen often, because void crystals are not common in the Osega, and the void tribes want to avoid creation of Quvbi because of it being a sign of bad luck to them(Though we aren’t 100% sure on why).
While Quvbi often can go where they please, anything with the ability to neutralize void magic will stop the Quvbi. Most common ways to repel ghosts fail against Quvbi, and they can live perfectly normal lives despite being undead.
They are known for always retaining who they were before death with no altercations, to the point it’s been noticed a number of Quvbi didn’t even realize they were dead till they accidentally phased through something. (Which, we were told to note, their phasing through intangibility powers can be completely controlled once they have time to practice it.)
Extra abilities of this ghost type are still being researched, but notable abilities are:
- Telekinesis
- The ability to enter mindscapes (including their own, which causes them to appear to be zoned out)
- With enough practice, they can control the temperature of their ghostly aura.
- While they do not like doing it, they can make things bleed. Of the already few Quvbi out there, only two have been recorded purposefully using this ability. One was to donate the created blood to hospitals(turns out that can choose the blood type, that’s handy), and the other was helping an anxiety-filled vampire friend of theirs.
Quvbi can consume Void Crystals for extra power. With enough power, they unlock more abilities, but our guides of The Void are telling us to not write it down so we do not encourage it.
Tim here, writing them down anyways in invisible ink lol try to stop me.
They can Shapeshift
Paralyze living things briefly
They can purposefully cause void infection without any negative consequence, so they can mind control what they have infected. The more crystals they consume, the more they can infect. They can also absorb void infection, even from things they didn’t infect, but that still requires them to have consumed at least one crystal.
The control of their aura gets boosted, and they can use that to block out mind reading or even cancel another Quvbi’s ability to enter their mindscape.
Their possession powers get stronger to the point where they do not need to be inside of something to possess it, and it is taken more of a mind control power than a possession power. It is debated, however, if this is linked to the void infection power, making the void infection invisible or only internal. It is classified as different, however, because the possessed do not get the strength boost void infected get, and it affects inanimate objects that can’t be void infected.
Ways to Neutralize void magic:
Illumisium (A rare meteor metal, it has the ability to reverse Void Infection)
They are refusing to tell us more “for their own safety”. They noticed your invisible ink, Timmy. Thanks a lot…
