The Legend of the Silence
Legend murmurs about the existence of two statues, facing each other but never touching, separated by a wrought-iron gate adorned with angels guarding skulls.
The Lady of Darkness, daughter of the Moon and Winter,
The Lord of Silence, son of the Sun and Summer.
United by chance and separated by silence,
it is said that the Golden Age was created precisely by their work.
The Lord of Silence asked,
the Lady of Darkness gave and received,
in a balance that seemed almost ethereal and divine,
together untying the threads of the Moirai and fate.
The Lady of Darkness must not leave the darkness; it is her home,
while the Lord of Silence creates his new domain, an elusive realm set apart from the specters.
Unknowingly invaded by guilt,
the ghostly streets silently fill with cracks.
The separation so dramatically and suddenly inflicted banished the Lady of Darkness from the Lord of Silence's new domains;
but legend says that the Lady of Darkness also condemned him, transforming him into a ghost, transmuting him into a creature she could control.
Was it an act of love or a curse?
And now, in their statues, the Lady of Darkness and the Lady of Silence are accompanied by the suffocted specter.
Silence and Darkness, companions yet separated: may the Gods save us from their misfortune.
Silentium et Tenebrae, comites sed discreti: Dii nos ab hac clade servent
