Every now and again I think about how we never see Stone again after his stint on Florrum, and how one time my partner said "despite the success the Clones had with Jar Jar being kept alive and the some enemy faction being apprehended, the fact important political figures died and they didn't catch Dooku - he probably got decommed when they returned back to Coruscant." I'm ripping my hair out over it every time 😭 Tbh going with the whole Palpatine was overtly and purposefully holding the CG tight in his grasp, having Stone decommed as an example and then Thire getting promoted to take his spot would make sense.
Explaining my specific hyperfixation to my friends that barely know anything about Star Wars or The Clone Wars is so embarrassing cause I'll be like
"So the Coruscant Guard are extremely tragic characters no matter how you spin them. Some people view them as emotionless, callous puppets of the Senate, forsaking their bonds of brotherhood with those who are fighting and dying on the front lines and instead heeding the beck and call of those who puppeteer the war. Some people believe that they are the "perfect" example of Kaminoan engineering, as they're the perfect soldiers willing to risk life and limb for the overall safety of the Republic with little thought of themselves or anyone else. Other people like myself view them as extremely tragic in the sense of them being examples of people scraping by, not the ones forsaking their brothers on the other side but are instead the ones who are forsaken by them. They scrape by for food and supplies, living in a hostile environment with people who view them as nothing more than government property; and yet they're the ones seen as safe and secure and a division ripples through the GAR who cannot see their brothers suffering not behind enemy lines but behind allied lines. How they must balance duty with also the oath of loyalty and love sworn by Clones as is coded in their very DNA; and yet they must march on, they must make the killing shots and the hard decisions and it is orchestrated all by those who have power over them and all that we know and yet they're the blame. No matter what they are they are tools."
And my friends are like "wow, they sound cool, can you show me the things that make people think this way about them?" And I have to say "no sorry, they have like 15 speaking lines and 30 minutes of screen time and this is all made up."
Listennn, I don't care what anyone says, medic characters in media are the fucking best. The battle between managing their emotions and distancing themselves a healthy degree from loss but also their love and devotion driving them to push through and try and do their best to save others, only to be destroyed when they cannot. How they try and cope with the situation they're put in - some by remaining quiet and distant, others trying to use jokes and levity to mask the pain. But GOD I love when a character who heals and saves others eventually comes to bend and breaks under the enormous pressure they're under and now other's have to find a way to save them. The people they've dedicated their lives to now trying desperately to hold tight and sooth the one who soothes them, to keep them whole and together not only due to that person being invaluable for what they do but also because everyone's come to love them for who they are as well.
I hope in 2025, more people barge their way into our inbox or dms or posts and ramble abt their OCs endlessly. I hope we get tagged in OC content. I hope even when I'm trying to sleep, you contact me through a telepathic link and tell me abt your OCs like you're reading me a bedtime story. I hope we all join hands and become insufferable about OCs and I'll kick my feet and giggle about it.
Not me following one of my fave streamers on twitch for VSMP and seeing like 3 people also following or in the twitch chat and they're apparently ppl that follow me on here for Star Wars content. Hello??
Thinking abt Cody defecting from his service with The Empire. I'm trying to wrap my head around what the other Clones felt about this. Were they told he died in the line of duty as they all should, twisting the truth to further push them all into further blind loyalty and servitude? Or did they say it outright, CC-2224 abandoned them all, his squad, his men and fled to go what? Join the Rebellion? Die in a ditch? What was the gossip like after that? Any consequences? Crack down on security, lock down the Clones to keep them subservient and dissuade them from following their old Commander's steps? COME ON MAN, TELL ME THE TEA.
Hey, do you happen to have a list of all TCW episodes that have Corries in them? Even if they just appear for a little bit. I want to get a better grasp of what exactly canon tells us about the boys in red. (Side note, if you also have a list of any other Star Wars media with Corries in them that would be amazing)
Hello Anon. So, few things. For starters, I'm going to be basing all listed Corrie appearances based off of all TCW episodes listed on Wookiepeedia's appearance section, so if you end up wanting to just go to episode synopsis I suggest there to start with. Secondly, most Guard appearances are unfortunately really really brief. So for ease, I'm going to add a little key for this list to hopefully make it a bit easier to pick out what you want to check out. (Also! Idk if this is 100% accurate, I did my best though.)
Happy Corrie watching!

I know there's also several comics that the Guard appear in ("Darth Vader" 2017, #7, #9, #10) have Fox in them - #10 having Fox's character death. Other Guard appearances are in image only or there's mention in audio books or in flashbacks but nothing else particularly significant. Oh! And Thire and a few Guard appear in Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
Sorry the reply is so late. Hope this helps though!
At some point I'll draw it, but on Jabber's gunship, his nose decal is a picture of a sick looking Dooku being grabbed by the throat by a clone hand and has a blaster pointed at him and it says "open wide and say aah."
