Extermination
The Xer’Sai: that was what people called the infestation that plagued the Great Desert. While most of the Void’s influence could be found in the southeast, where Icathia once stood, these abominations haunted the lands north of Nerimazeth, and occasionally, made there way into other territories. For his part, Xerath had elected to ignore them, focusing instead on his conflict with Azir... But over the past few months, they had become a greater nuisance still, and the Magus found his patience with these vermin at an end.
Gathering up a small army of about 700 soldiers, Xerath began his venture into the Great Sai. He recruited those skilled in hunting the beasts, but his true aim was the place where there queen was said to dwell; the infamous Burrower from which all Xer’Sai spawned... Soon, he would rid the desert of this parasite, once and for all.
