Hi I just entered college and I’m starting to realize that I might have to take a reduced course load (currently at 5 courses, but the minimum for a full time student is only 3 courses per semester) and idk... on one hand I know it will help me, but I also feel like I’m giving up/failing or smth... idk I just needed to vent/ get reassurance thank you for listening 💧
I disagree ! Knowing yourself enough to know that you need a reduced course load, this early in the year, is a strength !
I wish my college had offered the option of a reduced course load, because I would have needed that. Instead, I had to repeat a year because I just couldn’t keep up with the work, and I went into autistic burnout ...

i keep seeing octopath ads recently :0!! It kinda looks like fun, how do you like the game so far?
ive only played around an hour but im charmed by it! the graphics are so nostalgic, the music is AWESOME imo, the battle system is easy and fun, and the character i picked as the first one, alfyr, is very lovable.

I’m currently at an autism screening thing and I’m super nervous; does the typically autism screening account for different presentations of autism? Like if I’m a girl and typically don’t act out would it still pick up on it? What things should the test be picking up on? Ahh sorry I’m just so nervous that this is just won’t pick up on anything 💧💧💧
In theory, the screening should, yes. I’m outta spoons so I’ll quote @candidlyautistic:
Professional evaluations for autism should always include a variety of tests and observations. No one test will tell you if you are autistic or not. Any professional who dismisses an autism diagnosis off a single test is not understanding the diagnostic process.
The criteria in the DSM-V for autism specifies this quite clearly, and includes several reminders that autism is a spectrum, that you must make diagnosis with a broad range of tests and observations, that just because you learn to cope does not mean that you are not autistic, and that these things can all vary depending on culture, gender, sex, educational environment, and more.
Since there’s no single Test(tm), I really can’t tell you what things it would pick up on ! Just try to relax, and answer the questions as they come, without exaggerating or underplaying your traits.
(By which I mean, don’t insist on stereotypical traits if you don’t actually have them, but do insist on traits that actually make your life difficult even if the professional doesn’t focus on it. Insisting on my executive dysfunction issues led to an adhd diagnosis, and I had absolutely NO IDEA I had adhd ...)

oh boy, yeah! a lot of us love the holiday season (hanukkah, xmas, new years), valentines (especially lo and mathalai and maybe chalice? i do too), and halloween!
5. What song fits your whole system?
family by mother mother or problems by mother mother! or like... so many songs from them. lmao.
6. Do you have a sub-system?

12. Does any in your system have a story on how they got their name?
oh, i guess i can tell my story first. ;w;
so. i officially became my Own Person around the start of college (so 18-19), and i really had moved away from the original’s name. we had name this persona named rammy and i went by that online for quite a while!
after a lil while tho, i really wanted to have my own name. something that i could use offline as well. i also wanted something that would match ren’s name. so i tried to think of r names and eventually remy just popped into my head? and i’ve been remy ever since!
ren got his name by looking through comics of an artist we used to really look up to. and i think he took one of their oc names and changed it slightly til he liked it. and he settled on ren.
that wasn’t really exciting at all. rip.
25. Any fact you wanna share about your system.
we’re sort of like a weird dysfunctional family, all trying our best. ;w; our headspace seems to be limited to two apartment buildings and the sky above it. i kinda wish we could leave that area and explore more but? we can’t.
and for some reason, i can’t really explore headspace as well as the others, and it’s a little hard for me to leave the front completely! but i’m working on it. the others allow me to see headspace like through their eyes, sometimes? or like a bird’s eye view? if that makes sense. like they project what they see... to me. sometimes.

i think i’m an older split, but i didn’t come out until college, when we were 18-19! that’s when i started fronting and became the host.

i’m human. ;v;
3. do you enjoy your role in your system?
no!! i hate being host. it sucks. i’m not built for adult responsibility, i’m built for socializing and keeping up the original’s life. so it’s pretty lame. :v
20. how many alters are active in your system?
good question HM. quite a lot. not everyone who’s active fronts but they’re active in the sense that i can see them and know they’re around. then there’s alters that disappear into rooms that are hard for me to get to. so i don’t see them. i can’t give an exact number unfortunately.
22. do any of you keep notebooks?
yah! we have one main notebook that everyone can write in, then there’s the one million notebooks we have in a cubby by our bed. lo has this one notebook she used for poetry. and chara has their own notebooks that they haven’t used yet.
