2,3,12 & 25 for Tilde and the character asks!
2 - Favorite canon thing about this character? I like that she's a wheelchair user, I don't think I've seen many disabled characters in media so far. Especially since Dungeon is the only one so far where it's actually more part of her character than a thing that's mentioned in her first stage and then once she gains the ability of flight it never comes up again. In the original browser version, she didn't actually have one at all, and could fly right off the bat. In Garden, she has it in the first stage but learns flight in the second. In Dungeon, she has her wheelchair the entire time and it's stated that it takes a certain amount of power and energy that she doesn't have at the moment for her to fly, which I think is a good balance.
3 - Least favorite canon thing about this character? She's not feminist >:( /j That's a difficult one tbh, but I think what I dislike most aside from her disability being mostly ignored in the first two games is that she could be a little smarter. Like I'm fine with her not noticing things and not thinking before she speaks, but give the girl some credit, the Institute is literally a school you have to apply to, she's gotta have some smarts to get in.
12 - What's a headcanon you have for this character? She's not from the Void. I don't think any of the characters are, actually. In Dungeon, which I consider to be the 'most canon' because it's the most recent and developed, it seems like they've just always lived there, but in previous installments it's been referenced that she and the other freshmen hail from the "real world" and that the Void is more of a dreamscape. But the longer she stays there, the less she can remember of her life in the "real world", hence not knowing what alternate meaning her or Hyphen's names could have. That might be canon though, I don't know if I'm far enough into the game to see if this is canon yet or if it's mentioned somewhere in the book since I haven't read it but for now it's a headcanon I think
25 - What was your first impression of this character? How about now? In Garden, which is the first of the games I played, Tilde is the first human character you meet. She introduces the player to the fighting mechanic in the game, and like with everyone else, you can become closer friends with her by giving her things you find while battling her pets. Other than that, she doesn't have much going on in the first game, so I kind of just saw her as the NPC that mains Anger. Currently, though, since I've looked more into what kind of person she is and seen that shine through in Dungeon, I really like her. She still teaches the player how to fight, but she gets to have some personality while doing it this time since it's an actual tutorial rather than the game itself telling you what to do, if that makes sense.
