they’re breaking in the new kitchen that came with audrey’s new home.
the new homeowner sips on her red wine, legs pulled up on the stool across from him and wrapped in a warm sweater. chad paused when she said her words, letting them sink in.
“ you think so? ” he continues chopping up mushrooms for their dinner but not before letting the corner of his lips turn up for a second. “ that is a nice thought, isn’t it. ” but its not a statement that’s been proven by his recent dating record.
he gathers his chopped mushrooms and puts them in the hot sauce pan, shaking the pan by the handle once they’re in.
he steps back from the stove and walks around the marble island to wrap his arms around his girl. he holds her from behind so audrey puts a hand on his arm. “ thanks, auds. that means a lot. ”
