I had the same story with my sister. She doesn't know anything about DB universe, but still she knows who is Goku at least. I was just looking at Daizenshuu Akira Toriyama sketchbook and stopped at the art where Goku and Bulma were sitting near a racing car while Gohan was in it. While I was in a kitchen to get another cup of tea, my sister came near the computer and studied this art. When I came, she said:"I didn't know he was married to this purple- haired girl and had kid with her"

(i love this pic so much, they totally look married haha) and yeah, i know kids saying that doesn’t make gobul canon or anything but it gives me joy they they think they are married...it’s cute, i think <333 they look like the perfect parents

It's hard to believe, but her words are what exactly made me ship them! I didn't use to think of them as a couple before, but then I realized that I actually had never hated or disliked an idea of them ending up together. I searched for some arts in the internet( cuz I supposed that Gobul was popular ship) but I found a huge lack in this part. Gobul was so underrated! And I started feeling that Goku and Bulma didn't even get a small opportunity to have some love interest, relationship...

Same. Although i started shipping them was when i was watching the  saiyan/namek saga. This is a long story but i got into Dragon Ball being a Vegebul shipper, even without watching the series because i got a DBZ videogame and in the story mode I realized they were together and that interest drove me into watching the cell saga (where i knew they had a kid) so spent the time i watched the cell saga shipping vegebul and low-key liking gochi lol

But i feel in love with the series, so i decided to watch since the very beginning of the saiyan/namek saga and read the original dragon ball and i stopped shipping those pairings and started liking the idea of Goku and Bulma getting together more than the actual canon pairings haha and yeah i agree, the pairing it’s so incredibly underrated and i honestly don’t know why. I’ve seen more impossible pairings being more popular than gobul and it breaks my heart :(( it’s not like the idea of them getting together it’s completely nuts i mean...they are both main characters, share a friendship, they have meet each other since the very beginning and yeah they have way different personalities , but there are the types of differences where they complement each other?? also the idea of them getting together it’s so interesting and it’s a shame such few people explore it

And yeah it’s sad that didn’t even get an opportunity to get together, it feels like a waste because they had the potential to become a great pairing but they didn’t even get the chance ;_;
