also, it does firmly solidify his feelings for tokinaga as (queer)platonic because he’s got him on the same level as his best friend vollof and it just means so much to me that vollof is never forgotten by him </3

skimming through and noticing little details such as vollof pointing out that obikawa has turned more human (or human like) because he used his hands to wash and dry vollof off the same way tokinaga did with him. i’m suffering.
tokinaga teaching him to be more human because gods are essentially like children who have yet to understand or grasp human nature/mankind & the world… there’s so much to unpack
he truly, wholeheartedly adores and respects tokinaga. to repeat the actions of someone else that’s shown you such great care for someone you also hold close to your heart is… well, it says a lot.
