okay. alright. my brain feels absolutely stacked with shit but here’s a brief overview of what im gonna talk about when i get up tomorrow because its 2:30am:

1. easily one of the best seasons we’ve gotten so far IMO. storytelling was good, animation of fights and the wide shots were good, coloring was good (i stared... a lot into allura’s eyes)

2. a LOT of backstory being built up for alteans in general: good. haggar’s thought process: very good. lotor’s backstory: great!!! fuck!! 

3. everyone got an even spread of screentime and development not including hunk (but he did get his piece in the family episode). i am NOT gonna go into keith or lance rn but safe to say my brain is melting and i am so excited to see more of keith and krolia my hands are SWEATING to write some fic. FUCK

4. SHIRO!!!!!!!!!! IM BUSTIN MY ASS OVER HERE!! I FUCKIN TOLD YALL BUT NOBODY LISTENS TO ME EVER JESUS KSDJGKSDJGK

5. we get season 6 on june 15 that’s so fucking soon???

Voltron!

So some of my thoughts on the season - I’m on vacation rn so this is going to be a disorganized list made on my phone - I’ll clean it up later and there will probably be some meta posts later as well.

1. Oh my god lotor is a perfect, multifaceted villain who isn’t just an obsessed maniac running his head into a brick wall over and over. Instead he’s a pragmatic strategist and a skilled fighter yesssss

2. ALLURA! ALLURA! ALLURA! She gets so much character development? It’s incredible. I’ve gone from “ehhh” on her first season to HER BIGGEST FAN I LOVE HER

3. That alternate reality really put things in perspective on the ‘nothing is black and white’ theme

4. I love all of Lotor’s generals??? I can’t even choose? They’re all so smart and strong and lovely

5. KLANCE BBY!!! 'Hey man’ and 'I got you!’ And Keith getting WRECKED bc h was too busy staring at Lance oh my g o d

6. Lance’s development as a sharpshooter, teammember, and just as a person??? So good™ and pure™

7. Shiro isn’t shiro but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

8. So much more.
