me earlier this year: ill just make a voltron sideblog where i can reblog voltron related stuff instead of bothering my mutuals with good taste by voltronposting surely nothing will come out of it

pidge holt listens to 100 gecs, right? and they definitely introduced them to lance and hunk and matt right? and now the four of them listen to them constantly to the dismay of shiro keith and allura yes? just so were on the same page

the thing that really boggles my mind is that if this new thing on the voltron site was just to commemorate one of the original creators why didnt the instagram account even mention him? they were like "check out our site for a surprise heehee!" instead of. yknow. paying respects to this recently deceased man.

voltron characters' super smash bros mains because that's one of the few things i am somewhat informed about:

lance: peach/daisy main obviously. is good at playing most of the time but always screams when he falls ❤ also he cant air dodge at all

hunk: aside from pidge hes the only one who can do the hadouken commands so hes basically invincible and can play almost every character but i can tell hes a toon link main because he has taste

pidge: king k rool main, but is also good with most tanks (aside from ganondorf maybe). always picks bowser when shes fighting against lance

keith: can only use swordfighters

shiro: only uses the most basic characters like yoshi mario pikachu etc. is not very good at playing but can somehow beat keith from time to time

allura: hunk taught her how to play and she is a zelda and lucas main obviously. a force to be reckoned with.

coran: suffers from a condition called Being An Old Man so he only picks instantly recognizable characters like pikachu and mario but hes canonically one of the most tech savvy characters in the cast so he probably learns to play it on his own very quickly

I hate having deep thoughts about cringe shit but damn. The wasted potential of voltron is so upsetting. The whole blade of marmora thing? "A tyrant doesnt seek stability, only power"? Everything with shiro? Pidge and hunk just as characters? Keiths emotional journey in learning to adapt from being an angry, bitter, impulsive person to becoming the teams leader? Alluras treatments in the later seasons? All the fuckin gay subtext and found family subtext that just gets ignored because netflix and the studio was rushing out the later seasons for merchandising reasons? All i can say is damn
