Dude. "Golden Terrace" by Cang Wu Bin Bai, volume 1. If it weren't midnight and I wasn't so tired, I'd be writing paragraphs, I think. It's good. 10/10. It's up there with Thrice Married to a Salted Fish for me. I am crying tears of blood that the second novel isn't out yet and that the second novel will be the last.
If you'd never read a physical copy of danmei, this is the book I'd recommend to get you into it.

This song was in my head for months. I had this scene in my head while finishing up Chapter 2. I had this scene from the movie which inspired changing the script up a bit to take a different turn of events which added an extra two chapter that dives into VERY important details I needed to touch on in the first Volume.
