The latest gossip rag has brought a situation to my attention: a commoner masquerading as a noble.

If the commoners would stop corrupt tricks like this, perhaps they would find more of the Queen’s mercy.

I searched the city and found nothing. I’ve sent Layla to scout the Commoner's District. The trickster must have gone away to hide. Hopefully Layla doesn’t give in to their lies. She has a tendency to be too soft hearted.

When they’re brought to me, I intend to make certain their entire bloodline never enters this city again~

Unbelievable. Or maybe all too believable.

I thought I could trust Layla to handle the issue of the commoner masquerading as a noble. A simple task! Nothing for a guard!

Foolish girl…she released him. Freely. And worse—he told her he was looking for a Toplander. A Toplander, loose in Sal’Thorin, and that girl did nothing. Nothing!

I don’t know who’s the bigger fool. Her or that idiot Ravion for letting her in the guards. Sometimes I think he wants to see the city fall, but I will personally ensure that doesn’t happen.

She should be grateful she’s aesthetically pleasing. She doesn’t have anything else to help her tainted blood. Certainly not any mental skill.

She’ll receive a stigma tomorrow. Well deserved. I pray to the Queen she’ll learn a lesson, but I’m not getting my hopes high~
