HAPPY ZELDA MONTH!!!
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a review of the manga series only and does not reflect the thoughts of the original games. They are two different entities and I will be treating them as such.
The Story
The story is about Link turning into four Links!
Even though the manga is called 'four swords', it is actually a manga adaption of its sequel, Four Sword Adventures.
The story is surprisingly entertaining and doesn't feel rushed whatsoever. It does have a few adult jokes that will go over kid's heads, but most of the jokes are funny and it is a great story about working together that the whole family will enjoy.
The Characters
The characters have very distinctive and likeable personalities. Even the villain is given a lot of character development! The other villains however, are very bland and have the cliché 'take over the world' motive (of course!)
The Art
The art in this is really well done, but in some panels, it is hard to tell which Link is which and it is very confusing from time to time.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is so far the best Zelda manga out there. The story is fun, the characters are surprisingly interesting and the art is solid (if a but flawed).
If you have a little one or you are looking for a quick read, look no further than the Four Swords!
