Name: Jon Kent Position desired: volunteer What attracted you to this position? I wish there had been something like this when I first got here. I want to help make things less hard for other people.  What do our principles of “warmth and illumination” mean to you? Warmth makes me think of the feeling of going home, being with the people you love. Being safe, being loved, and being hugged. Illumination is like when the sun finally comes out from behind the clouds and you can see everything better??  These positions are stressful, how will you de-stress? I have a rabbit and a dog, and I’m trying to attend that therapy stuff, and try to hang out with people. Does that count?

Name: Ciel Desired Position: Volunteer Species: Half-demon Reason for Applying: I have noticed an alarming rift between humans and non-humans, simply due to races and an unfounded belief that somehow all non-humans do is cause harm to humans.  As a bit of both, I wish to show both sides that there is no reason to demonize–excuse my pun–one side or the other. Why Do You Think Providing Assistance To Non-humans And Other Equity Seeking Groups Is Important?: To my understanding, non-humans are quite outnumbered by humans, which would make it rather difficult for non-humans to safely find sanctuary among themselves, especially in light of the outcry from humanity in regards to non-humans.  Anything that could provide a safe haven to non-humans, and to attempt to mend the bridge and instill trust between humans and non-humans again, would be a step in the right direction.

Why Do You Think Providing Assistance To Non-humans And Other Equity Seeking Groups Is Important?: We’re all stuck in this city together, the least we can do is help us all get by without killing each other.
