Volvo 142E 4-Speed
The 1971 Volvo 142E was used as a development and test vehicle for 140-series models. The body is finished in white, and power is supplied by a modified 2,130cc B20 inline-four mated to an M41 four-speed manual transmission and an electrically actuated overdrive unit. Equipment includes a black leather interior, 15″ alloy wheels, Bilstein shocks, lowering springs, four-wheel disc brakes, a glass sunroof, a custom exhaust system, a front spoiler, a Volvo Rallye gauge cluster, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo. The car is finished in white and features an aftermarket front spoiler, an aftermarket sunroof, inboard rally-style driving lights in the grille, a chrome driver-side mirror, and a polished fuel cap. The front bumper has been removed, and the rear bumper is painted to match the body.
