Metal half-circle SOARS through the air, and the threat is all but missed amongst the shouts and hands attempting to restrain the mare. Fate dictates that it hits a most opportune target; golden hair connects with the heavy projectile. HARD. Pain blossoms in the back of his head before it cuts off entirely, and the soldier crumples to the dusty ground. Shock registers in the men who watched his fall, frozen in disbelief; it is unbecoming for an officer to fall in such a silly way. Sgt. Adams cries out a command, always a faithful helper, as men rush to his aid.
“Murphy, get that horse tied up!”
🏇 ~ Immediately Rain cried out a vicious sound. From the moment she was tried between the two wooden poles, it had been a fight. When the rather round two legged tried to nail something to the bottom of her hoof, she just barely managed to knock it out of his hand, the shoe soaring through the air until she could hear it colliding with something beyond her view. But when the paint heard another two legged call out, she could feel more of those tried wrap around her body, tightening her position between the posts.
But that didn’t stop her from fighting.
