since it's officially halloween down under (and i haven't had the chance to make something new for this year... been busy, sorry!), now is the perfect time to go and read my sb!vanessa character study, en pointe! written for the prompt "knife", it is a perfectly normal oneshot in which vanessa has a perfectly normal time sorting trash. here's a taste of it:

It’s bled into you rather than out, and you’re not sure how to handle it. If your world was ever made to handle it.

Sometimes, it seems like it wasn’t made to handle much at all.

Yesterday when I was in the hospital I had to get a CT scan and I have a history of throwing up during them bc the contract makes me sick and the way I talked myself out of vomiting was just imagining this picture really really hard 😭

what colors align to which emotions with inks vials. what do you think

red - anger (too much = hatred)

orange - indifference or confusion

yellow - happiness

green - ...? excitement? idk

cyan - sadness?

blue - BIG sadness/defensiveness?

purple - fear (too much purple = anxiety)

pink - romantic* love (too much = obsessiveness)

white - idk if he has a white but. resets his feelings? (makes him throw up)

dark purple - pain (as seen in underverse)

*he's still aroace but i like to think he's aroflux/greyaro... like me :3

Do you think Celestia never got used to Lunas absence? That certain sounds Luna used to make haunted her in the back of her mind the entire thousand years. Not seeing certain things at certain times and places upset her greatly. She would put up lavenders at night like she used to do, remade her bedroom in hopes of her return, did the stars like she used to (or tried too)

Do you think she felt relief when she returned, like a part of her returned. Do you think she had to get used to the actual feeling of her actual sister being back. That a thousand years of memories playing telephone had altered the memory of her slightly. That certain sounds and visuals seem different. But of course they are different! Things have changed greatly and permanently…..Luna still eats her fruit whole however. She can’t help but laugh

it's interesting how a perspective shift can just drop in out of nowhere. the whole time my dog has been having problems which nothing is helping, i had this feeling of like why is the universe punishing me?? and then suddenly today my dog was crying 5 feet away on my bed and i brought him over to lay with me & i thought, oh. maybe it's not punishing me by making this happen to my dog, maybe he was always going to have these persistent issues, and they sent him to me bc i'm mostly bedbound so i am always home anyways & can be there for him. how many ppl could be constantly available to a dog with severe anxiety, constantly watch a dog with severe allergies so he doesn't get hotspots, feed a dog 4 times a day so he doesn't throw up, carry a dog outside every time he needs to go to avoid the other dogs he's aggressive towards? maybe it's not to hurt me, it's to help him. anyways i'm crying now 😭👍

And idk, it probably had a name before becoming/getting trapped inside the robot but we got exactly one hint about their life before that and it was 'they threw up blood'
