heyo, question for ur Leshy au since i cant get it out of my head.
Does Wilbur actually believe in Dream? becuase from the post, it sounds like he doesnt. if that was the case, i could totally see wilbur freaking out once he meets Dream, and then slowly realizing that Dreams jus a big softy.
Wilbur doesn't actively believe in Dream, but does have a feeling that he could maybe exist. Not very convinced as of that point, though.
His position on that is mainly formed from his own experience- he hasn't seen the Leshy, but his person is held in high regard by the spirit since he is the bringer of gifts. If I recall correctly, a Leshy tends to be like a Baba Jaga- can either help or doom a person upon stepping into the creature's domain, but I think Leshy tends to be a bit more... I'd say, honour oriented? So, what we get from this, is that unless Wilbur would get lost or need help, he would not encounter Dream. The reason why he still holds a thin string of possibility is due to stories of 'survivors' and folklore passed on from the elders.
Now that I think about this, I haven't established a strict time period.. I'd say it's either already established country but before the baptism of prince Mieszko, or after it, with a bit more knowledgeable people but there still isn't a constant residence of any priests in the village, due to 'lack of staff'.
