Daenerys for the give me a character?

How I feel about this character

In short: I feel a lot of respect for Daenerys character, I think that she is really well constructed and I can relate a lot to her.

Daenerys had an epic ride so far, beginning as a timid girl who was basically used and abused to become courageous and independent, to become a ruler on her own right. I love her arc, even if it get boring at some parts, I think grrm is doing a great job at her, because she needs to learn how to rule before ruling.. people need to see this.

Daenerys overcame the difficulties of her childhood and became a compassionate leader (even if she does her wrong choices sometimes) she always has the best for her people on her mind... despite her status she isn't arrogant, quite for the contrary... I think that she is really open minded for ASoIaF standards, she is determined and would do anything to achieve her dreams (some traits I really admire in any character/person)

The shallow reasons: She is absolutely gorgeous in the show, it is impossible not to love her white hair and Targaryen looks haha. She was made to be baddass the day grrm decided to give her dragons.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Khal Drogo, impossible not to ship the Khaleesi with her sun and stars… I really love their relationship, esp in the book where he is the first person to give her some agency… he was so important to her development.

Jorah too, LMAO but I have a soft spot for the bear and the maiden fair… plus that time when she was trying to get back at Mereen and remembered him was cute

I also kinda ship her with Jon (LOL) but he is so shippable, not my fault. he is the Sakura of ASoIaF hahaha. I think they would go very well together.. we just need him to be alive and one of them needs to cross the sea, then we need them to meet and - BAM it can happen, not a crack pair at all haha

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Dany and Ser Barristan, for all the fatherly figure cutesy, plus her chance to know more about Rhaegar… I loved when she got compared to him, it is really heart warming

Dany and Rhaegar - even if they never met each other. I love the fact that they have a “connection” through dreams and prophecies... I think they would get along well and he would be very fond of her..

Dany and Missandei, no need to say why… their holding hands at the end of the tournament explain how much they care for each other

Dany and Tyrion so far, I’ve dreamed about this reunion for a long time.. and happily it went well con the show. They are perfect for each other when you think about it..

My unpopular opinion about this character

I feel kinda mad that Daenerys never wanted to learn how to use a sword (she will need it eventually). But yeah, I know this is not the theme of her character.. I’m just saying she should learn the basics.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Honestly, just the basics.. I want Daenerys to have a happy, long life and have her lover at her side… but of course, seeing her on the Iron throne would be great!
