Does the hydrogen-powered bicycle really exist?
Electrolyte builds bikes. Not unlike many other bicycle brands, they offer several models with or without an electric engine.
The remarkable thing however, is that the unplugged version of the bicycle has exactly the same weight as the 'unplugged' version. At least, according to their website: both the 'Strassenfeger' and the 'Strassenfeger unplugged' weigh 16 kilos. The plugged version is very remarkable indeed: all e-components are contained within what they call the 'single swing arm'.
They also have a bike with a more 'conventional' system: The Vorradler.
During Eurobike, apparently, Electrolyte had a hydrogen-powered version of this bike on show. Boasting a range of up to 450 km (300 miles). They are still hushing up about it on their website however.
450 km! Geez. But no idea at all how to fuel it up after that.
