“Here’s your drink, Miss. I’m sorry about the wait!” Lenalee said apologetically while setting the red head’s drink down, before bowing her head slightly. When she looked back up, she was smiling. Brushing her hair behind her ear, the waitress laughed softly, almost in spite of herself. When she had applied for a part time job at the Sunshine Cafe, she hadn’t anticipated it to be so busy all the time. But with the holidays, it made sense that people were coming in for a warm hug in the form of their specialty seasonal drinks.
“Is there anything else I can get you? We have fresh eggnog muffins, and I think our signature banana and cranberry bread just came out of the oven!” Lenalee said cheerfully, watching the woman with a curious gaze, “if those don’t interest you, we have free cinnamon rolls and I think I can snag you one ~ ”
