All the avant-garde figurative movements - Cubism, Futurism, the Golden Section, Vorticism, Rayonism and even metaphysical painting - touched abstraction. Their figurative aspect has, in fact, only become visible with distance, with the passing of time, after our sensibility - reached the stage of distinguishing between true and apparent abstraction.
