spring has arrived in the lunar district! the trees are all green, the flowers are in bloom, and everyone’s coming out to play. like the rest of the city, the lunar district has their own celebration to welcome in the season, and that entails a full week of delicious street food, market stalls, crazy discounts from all shops along the streets, and in-theme dressing! the festival runs from 12pm until 2am everyday for seven days! but how does votive participate, you might wonder?
The Votive takes part in the Spring Festival each year, and to celebrate this happy, fun-filled event, the employees take to the streets. regardless of their specialties, everyone is to dress in spring-themed clothing (think whimsical, airy materials, floral prints and flower crowns) and take the opportunity to pull in new customers around the district who might’ve never been to the votive before via whatever means. this isn’t mandatory and all employees are very much allowed to simply enjoy the festival, but there’s an incentive program in which employees get a 50% increase on their usual pay for every client they get signed up for a membership or a guest pass during the week.
WORK — for those looking to take advantage of the incentive:
ESCORTS: dress your best and wander the district, charming potential clients into signing up at the Votive for a membership. escorts are permitted to offer a discounted ‘trial’ of the service they provide at their own discretion.
DANCERS: take to any of the four stages provided by Votive around the district and put on a show! the resort will be advertised around the stage, but dancers must still personally do their part to draw in clients.
MASSEUSES/THERAPISTS: there will be two large tents set up where festival goers can stop by for a massage or a spa treatment, each tent is divided in two by a curtain and covered externally for privacy. therapists are able to give their customers loyalty stamp cards for future treatments to entice them into returning to Votive.
WAITERS/BARTENDERS/ETC: just outside the Votive building, a portable bar and chic popup restaurant will be set up for customers to stop and enjoy the quality cuisine and beverages on offer at Votive.
ACTIVITIES — for those looking to have some fun:
the lunar district will feature a large selection of food stalls, an outdoor cinema, live music and performances on the main stage, a mini amusement park complete with games, rides and even a ferris wheel! as well as those special features, the shops in the district — which include sex toy, lingerie, xxx-film and costume stores — will be bringing their wares and goods out into the streets with discounts and special offers.
