Its kinda cool how Jade lives on an island in the middle of the ocean and Kanaya lives in an oasis in the middle of a desert. They both live in the middle of nowhere and maybe that says something about space players but maybe it also says something about the internet connecting people from bumfuck nowheresville to insufferable pricks who live in the city and to really cool alternative girls who like cats and to weird suburban kids with bad tastes in movies

Troll Words and Sayings

So, I've been working on this spreadsheet since the start of the year, trying to get a wide breadth of troll words in one place, organized by where they're from, i.e. Homestuck, Hiveswap, Friendsim, Paradox Space, etc.

I and some of my friends have found this really useful for roleplay and fanfiction purposes, so I figured I would finally share it publicly. It's still being worked on, but it has over 400 words/phrases organized on it at this point.

Some of the definitions were supplemented by Spiral's Canon Troll Vocabulary Sheet as found on Homestuck.net, which does have some words and phrases I haven't gotten around to adding to my sheet yet. Definitely worth a look if you haven't gotten sick of troll words after looking at my spreadsheet.

Today, I’m thinking about AUSPISTICISM.

Specifically about how, during Act 5 Act 2, Jade and Karkat were functionally a two-person ashen relationship, wherein they both function as the auspistice for the other and a different version of themself.

More specifically, I’m thinking about when Jade mediated between past and future Karkats and when Karkat mediated between Jade and Jadesprite (sidenote : yes, I do think ashen trios can and should kiss, just like I think all the quadrants should).

I genuinely think 1) that these are the BEST examples of ashen romance that we get in the comic and 2) that ashen Jadekat is underrated.

I dont think ive seen anyone talk about lil seb as a dirk splinter before and thats sad bc lil sebastian is reflective of one of the sweetest parts of dirk aka his need to protect and help his friends.

Brobot also encapsulates this to a degree but also portrays it through the lens of wanting to make them stronger to be able to protect themselves whereas lil seb portrays it through the lens of dirk wanting to keep them out of danger and letting himself protect them.

I feel like there’s more here, but I havent seen anyone else discussing the idea of lil seb as a dirk splinter. He, like brobot, is a robot made by dirk to protect a close friend of his that shares imagery with dirk and brobot (the triangular shades and hat icon on his chest).
