Idk if this is something that has already been talked about, but figured I’d send out a warning anyways! If you’re doing the Vredefort Interstellar missions and are currently on the “Fight agressive animals in explore and defeat them” quest where you have to defeat 100 animals, you might want to check your progress. Before yesterday I hadn’t checked for a while since I didn’t do much fighting in September anyways, but I was sure I had defeated at least 20 just casually playing. When I checked yesterday however, my number out of 100 was at 0. Figured maybe I had just remembered wrong, fought a couple of battles in explore, and when I checked in the Vredefort Crater again the number had gone up. So good, right? Well I just rolled over today and nope, back down to 0/100. I’ve modboxed it and am waiting on a reply, but if you’re on that quest might wanna check to be safe!

Demiurge Interstellar Remains Quest List

Quick notes before we begin: the tasks that may provide the the most unexpected trouble were ones that involved acquiring certain lions (ex. the 30 cubs or 5 albino cubs), items (herbs, toys, food), or waiting for an event to occur (ex. wet season). If you are completing this quest around its release or looking to finish it in a timely manner, I would recommend checking the TC for needed cubs a few days before you get the albino cub quest, and doing your best to line up the task completion with the wet season - everything else is largely dependent on your own play speed and how quickly you personally are looking to finish the tasks.

-Visit the Vredefort Crater quest page, wait until rollover

-Get 200 steps in explore

-Defeat 50 animals in explore (+2 residue), wait until rollover

-Find the glowing animal in explore (+1 residue), wait until rollover

-Get 300 steps in explore

-Visit 250 dens (+2 residue), wait until rollover

-Find crocodile poop by sending lionesses hunting in rivers and waterholes (+1 residue), wait until rollover

-Find evidence of the Cancer residue through patrolling (+1 residue), wait until rollover

-Defeat 10 crabs in explore

-Claim 30 lionesses

-Visit 500 dens (+3 residue), wait until rollover

-Give 500 herbs

-Give 30 cubs (+2 residue), wait until rollover

-Find the Corrupted River in explore (I personally found the encounter in the Tropical Forest biome, not sure if it is biome specific or not) (+1 residue), wait until rollover

-Defeat 30 crabs in explore

-Investigate the Flood Pit (weather must be raining) (+2 residue), wait until rollover

-Defeat 100 animals in explore (+1 residue), wait until rollover

-Get 400 steps in explore (+1 residue), wait until rollover

-Donate 400 food uses

-Donate 500 toy uses (+2 residue), wait until rollover

-Complete 3 Gorilla Enclave quests (+1 residue), wait until rollover

-Donate 5 albino base cubs

-Take 500 steps in explore (+2 residue), wait until rollover

-Defeat 30 crabs in explore

-Donate 500 herbs

-Send 15 cubs to the giving tree (+3 residue), wait until rollover

-Find and defeat the Corrupted Crocodile in explore (+1 residue), wait until rollover

-Visit the Leaderboards and talk to the lion there (+1 residue), wait until rollover

-Visit 500 dens (+2 residue), wait until rollover

-Donate 20 lions (+1 residue)

-Defeat the Cancer manifestation (you may purchase aid from the Demiurge for 1000 SB, and he will heal you for 25 HP each time you miss. Personally I did not find myself needing the aid, but feel free to attempt the battle at least once without it and then determine if paying for the help is needed. Once bought, you will not have to buy his help for any repeat attempts at the battle)

-Quest complete. Reward: Interstellar Remnants Applicator & “Interstellar” Title

If I’ve noted everything right, that means it will take a minimum of 20 days to complete the quest entirely, provided you can get each set of tasks done before rollover. Good luck on your quest, and feel free to ask me for help with any of the tasks if I can provide it!
