A festival you should check out sometime from Amsterdam, NL.
On the 5th of May which is also known as Dutch liberation day (last Monday), we visited our friends from Vrijland festival in Amsterdam.
Amongst all magazines, radio stations, personal blogs, club events and other cool initiatives in our database we also have a lot of amazing festivals with Vrijland (of course) being one of them.
Dutch liberation day is celebrated every year with loads of music, events and other great culture projects in every city of Holland.
The incredibly welcoming organization behind the festival, consisting of initiatives like Amsterdam Roest, Backstage, DOKA and a couple more really turned Vrijland into playground for young and old. An event where everyone felt as free as they could feel. With hula hoops, campfires, a lot of choices in terms of food, the possibility to hang out near the water and six rooms filled with music for every taste the organization of Vrijland festival remained very faithful to the theme 'freedom'.
If you're planning to book a trip to Holland around May next year we can really suggest Vrijland. Because good music, good food, great drinks, great people, an incredibly cool location and the best atmosphere is what you're gonna get when you visit Vrijland.
