Ahh, so his original hypothesis was correct. It would take a dozen saints’ patience to deal with the little hellion, and if he went through life kicking like a newborn, Venomous was almost certain he was telling the truth.

If not, Dan’s shirt at least backed up Ven’s argument.

Ignoring another one of his snide ending comments, then adjusted a coat sleeve. Not making eye contact, instead just raising an eyebrow. Very curious indeed.

      Oh. So perhaps she had piqued his interest. There’s a smile that can only be described as fanged despite her lack thereof. “Asking me for advice? Why, perish the very thought.“ A hand reaches up to tap a manicured fingernail lightly against her chin in thought. “ I wouldn’t call myself an expert but I’ve found that if you need to particularly get under someone’s skin- “ Piercing eyes flick over to stare him down.

     “You take away the things they love one by one until they’ve got nothing left but the hollow, gutwrenching grief that stains one’s very being like a brand. The kind that makes death seem like a sanctuary. And they’ll know that you were the one who put it there. “ 

    Her expression had changed to something akin to a dark sort of amusement before she snaps suddenly back to a carefree look and shrugs at him. 

     “Or you could just remotely change their wi-fi password, that one doesn’t take as long. “

    She’s not going to say anything about any supposed anger issues or why he should become sweet as pie, for if anyone knows anything about having the whole world be your enemy, well… it’s certainly Robin. Of course, currently posing as a bookshop worker in order to hide a low-key town, one certainly wouldn’t guess that about her. But that doesn’t stop her from leaning on her elbows to speak.

    “ The world is a cruel place, and people will take advantage of you whenever they can, as I’m sure you’re well aware, but sometimes the best revenge is to turn your back to them. Let them know that anything they do to you is beneath your notice.” A slight pause is given in thought before a chuckle proceeds the rest. “Though, if you do somehow find yourself filled with rage, sometimes it’s best to not let it explode right away- let it grow cold and quiet- so every word can be heard clearly yet still chill someone to the bone, as rash decisions can turn on you quite quickly, I’ve found.” 

   She rests her chin in her palm with a soft smile. “ After all, as Desdemona said to Othello in Act 4: What doth your speech import? I understand a fury in your words, but not the words. “
