Gallery Visits
Okay so, random notations about gallery exhibitions that I have visited.
I don’t remember the weeks they were so I’m going to put them as a notation for week 11.
So I visited the Nexus Gallery and saw that there were works by an artist about his travels and escape from a country. I wonder if he was trying to portray the dangers that he would have met and the emotions behind it, trying to smuggle money to his family and for himself. I felt that he portrayed that well because I had felt the fear whilst reading the information and the images.
Im sort of an emotional personal and empathic, sometimes, sometimes being the operative word. So yeah. What I experienced I’m not sure if others felt too. I liked the work for the emotions they portrayed but didn’t like them because I felt there was little process of thought put into them. But that is me.
Another visit was to the Light Square Gallery and the SACE show so there were works that I liked and gave me some ideas. I wish I took some picture but yeah I didn’t.
There was so much that I liked about it and some I didn’t like. I kinda wished we had the option of more materials back in high school.
Other Galleries I visited was the Hill Smith and the Mill. Sadly there wasn’t anything on at the time. I accidentally walked in on the Hill Smith and it looked as though they were setting up of packing away an exhibition. There was no one there but the door was open so I did the right thing and grabbed some information and left without disturbing anything.
The Mill I was just outside and looked like a lonely orphan during Christmas and watched but then left because it look as though it was empty.
So yeah, my gallery experience.
