VSKIT Collaborates with Startimes to Launch Nigeria's 'Voice to Fame'
Short video sharing platform, VSKIT recently announced that it will be launching a music competition in Nigeria. VSKIT partnered with digital cable TV, StarTimes, to launch the first-ever music competition called Voice to Fame in Nigeria.
About VSKIT’s and Startimes New Music Competition
The Voice to Fame music competition has a very interesting premise. It will see the contestant challenging celebrities for a chance to win the grand prize. According to the VSKIT, there will be a total of eight contestants and they will be competing for N 2 million. Another premise that makes the competition so unique and interesting is the fact the Voice to Fame show will be the re-enactment of classic movies and TV plays, Rap battles and lip-sync according to dialogues taken from clips of movies and TV shows highlighting vocal delivery and demonstrative facial expressions. The show already has some popular TV celebrities attached to the project. Popular TV celebrities like Charles Okocha, popularly known as “Igwe 2pac”, Nkechi Blessing, Mide Martins and Yakubu Mohammed are already attached to the project. The celebrities will be competing with the 8 contestants for the grand prize. VSKIT promises that the show will be an entertaining, educative and inspiring TV experience for viewers. The TV show will be available on Sunday and would be a 13-episode TV Show. It will highlight four participants each week, with viewers having the exclusive right to vote their best dubbing performances. Participants with the highest votes will move to the next stage.
VSKIT Speaks About the Event
The marketing manager of VSKIT Nigeria, Sean Shu spoke about the competition. He stated that as the title sponsor of the Voice to Fame competition, their aim is to provide the right platform where young talents across Africa with remarkable vocal skills and star potential, can be given a shot at the limelight. Shu also explained that beyond the completion, VSKIT will continue to develop and deploy varied talent-focused initiatives, training programs and co-branding campaigns that will create superstars out of budding talents.
