I wanted to make this page a gif with animated glitchy effects on Flowey's busted save file, but I didn't have the energy to mess with that. If you're curious, the binary code is supposed to say "ERROR" over and over. I used a text to binary converter so hopefully it's accurate. (Unrelated to the Error Sans, for the record. I know he's popular, but he has nothing to do with this comic.)

If you like to think of the Ruins Dummy as being its own character, that's totally fine and valid. I don't think there's any outright confirmation that Napstablook was in the Ruins Dummy, but considering how angry Maddy is about what you did to her cousin, how the diaries in Mettaton's house only seem to mention 3 ghosts, and the winter alarm clock dialogue from Mettaton, I think it's safe to assume there are only 3 ghost cousins. Since we really didn't get much info about Maddy until later console releases of Undertale, I think a lot of people personified the Ruins Dummy as a separate ghost cousin. It's fun to make characters, I make a lot myself (if you read my other comic, you WILL see OCs eventually, that is a threat) so don't let my take on the Dummy ruin your fun if you like them as their own character. Pun genuinely unintended. Side note, if the kids come off as acting like bickering siblings, that was the intention. Also I was going to make the laughs be a part of Chara's text in the last panel, but that would've been impossible to read. Like, "WE-HEE HEE HEE'VE BEEN LI-HI-VING," it sounds alright in my head but looks way too weird in writing.
On DA
Whoop. Finally managed to finish this. We skipped a loooooot of the ruins, I had nothing else to pad out the journey conversation-wise and I’m sure y’all are looking forward to seeing more of the main cast. And lookit that, there’s one of ‘em now.
Also, humanity is slowly returning to husk Frisk, so the guilt is setting in on account of the pacifist route they’re taking atm. The way LOVE is explained by Sans, I feel like so long as their doing a violence, Frisk won’t feel guilt for what they did. When you have power over time and space it's easy to assume it can all be fixed.
Unfortunately it seems their actions had consequences after all.
Also, I’ve read everyone’s theories (if you commented ‘em in a page, at least) and to those theorizing that the deja vu got stronger, you actually aren’t wrong. I know Flowey’s acting like he never met Frisk, but deja vu =/= remembering.
What was happening with the ruins enemies was not that they remembered what Frisk did to them, but rather that they were getting bad vibes from Frisk because of the deja vu. When Frisk did nothing to interact with them, it made some look at them in confusion which was what was happening on page 20. Hopefully that makes sense.
Now that begs the question, what was keeping Flowey and Toriel from meeting Frisk at the beginning? If anyone can actually guess correctly, I’ll be very impressed cause there’s really only one hint that I can think of as for what it was and you have to think outside the box to see it.
Some people actually already know what it is, cause I talked about this with friends. So, uh… if you actually DO know what the other, most major change is, maybe keep that one to yourself, haha.

I referenced the fangamer sticker sheets for color ideas for the ruins monsters. I will admit that all the froggits in the ruins are all white in-game but using the stickers' colors makes more visually interesting things and visually interesting is more important than 100% accuracy. To me, anyway. Creative liberties. But, yeah. Migosp is a red-violet color on the stickers. That's not me making a weird choice. Most people in the comments on previous pages have noted what is being alluded to here. There are other theories about this timeline that are also accurate, but maybe not to the degree people anticipate.
On DA
These two have become masters at driving each other nuts at this point. The back-and-forth between them might seem pointless- I don't think anyone is going to feel as strongly about monster candy as Chara does- but if I don't spice up the pages somehow it'll just become a slideshow of the ruins. But in my art style. Which wouldn't be as entertaining.
