Rory was a bit confused about what the handsome man was doing. They were going to get him out of here, but how? He was guessing the why was because of how incredibly inhumane it was. There was soft rumble in the big cats chest, signalling that he understood the other before disappeared. It was really the man behind him that peaked interest, made the cat press against the bars, whiskers brushing the metal.
It was a wonderful show that Ben put on, all of the circus prisoners had to agree. The magic was insanely impressive, even a bit nerve wracking. That kind os power was frightening to some, like Rory’s little brother Dexter, the bear whose handler had just dropped dead leaving his leash unmanned. He was free just like the rest of the ‘freak shows’.
Rusted cages were broken open, the werewolves all seemed to clump together, helping each other take off the collars that prevented the shift, but they all looked confused as they found they were in a new place. They didn’t stop much, they just shifted back to human, itching as they hadn’t changed in a while. Violet, Alejandro and Mason were the three wolves, all from the same pack and all believing they were the last survivors, though they didn’t know they were wrong there was one other out there.
Rory wasn’t paying attention to the fretting werewolves, the pissy red head oracle names Juniper, or even his own brother who had been approaching him. The bobcat walked directly toward the witch who had transported them, worry obvious on the cats features, even after the man tried to reassure him. Something was different, there was definitely something there, drawing them closer together.
The familiar was getting even closer when there was suddenly a ruckus. “Murderers!’ Was the accusing cry as a hunter revealed himself. The surprising thing wasn’t all the growls and threats from the rest of the prisoners, it was the way Rory reacted, putting himself right between the Hunter and Ben, right in the line of fire as he let loose a low and terrifying growl, the cat was obviously not going to just let Ben be killed it seemed.
