Hi I'm vullo I'm a HUGE furry with good taste in art and a talent in finding werird shit
wow as if id openly admit to being a furry or having good taste :^)
i am fuckin talented at finding weird shit tho........
how do you draw with smaller sized lines without getting uncomfortable? like i draw with about size 9 lines so they are a little thick but you draw with really small ones and it looks great and i wish i could pull it off as nicely as you do
thats a good question, hahaha. i know at first it felt clumsy and strange since I used to use a size 9 or higher brush. but, ive always used a thin lining marker/pen doing traditional work, and switched over to using only pens to draw and sketch traditionally, and I started trying to treat my digital inking like my traditional and using similar strokes and layering with it.
One big thing that helped was to find a nice brush, too. Some were too... faint/blurry at such a small size, but I really liked my ‘tearose’ brush I developed. (I have its settings in my tagged/brush settings) You may need to edit its density and stuff slightly depending on how much pressure you use or based on your tablet. I know sai’s default ‘ink’ brush was pretty nice for thin lines too. I find something that is crisp but not TOO crisp works nice for thin lines without making them look jagged, haha.
Practice using a small brush to make strokes at different speeds! Sometimes doing it slower feels easier for some people. Push away from yourself when you’re doing straight lines. Pull towards yourself when you’re doing curves. That’s usually a bit more comfortable. Good luck!
hii i love the colours on your mobile theme soo much you have a great way with colours in general haha
