“We know each other?” He echoed her statement, completely baffled and taken aback at the claim. The sentry stared down at the human girl in front of him, thinking that if he had any muscles around his neck they’d ache from having to crane down to meet her eyes. She was rather short in stature and though he was relatively average himself, the difference between their height was easily noticeable and required him to hunch slightly to talk to her without seeming as if he were trying to size her up. The sentry felt as if he were talking to a child. “If we’ve met before, I’m pretty sure I’d remember you. I’ve never left this forest.” Not a single lie was weaved into his words. As far as he knew and remembered, the barrier was still up, making traveling to other places, much more dimensions or universes, completely impossible. There simply wasn’t enough energy in the entirety of the Underground to achieve such a feat, and it wasn’t for a lack of trying on the parts of others, which further disapproved her claims. Sans was far too disinterested and unmotivated to seek a way out. He didn’t feel the need nor desire to leave. “But maybe you’re right, we might’ve known each other but I forgot...” Sans pulled his shoulders up into a shrug as he tilted his head to the side as he tried to find a single memory of the redhead. He found none. Letting his shoulders drop as he gave up trying to recall memories he didn’t have, he glanced back at the human with a smile that physically emanated the smugness behind his next comment. “Considerin’ if I turned around right now and turned back I’d probably lose sight of you, seeing how short you are.” Making a show of it, he drew his hand just over her head and bringing it to his chest where she had just barely hit over the collarbone, the teasing never leaving his motions.

“Are you trying to hustle me?” Really she hadn’t expected to come across anyone tonight, hoping to at least get one night to sort out her own personal issues, but it seems that fate had other plans for the girl; as always.

It’s rather funny though, someone so delicate looking would be trying to hustle her, a known figure in the black market. At least in this city.
