welcome to Aradia! we’re currently getting the details together on our opening event and the like, which should hopefully be up soon after everyone’s blogs are in, but in the meantime, we’d love for everyone to be able to start plotting with one another. 

in order to facilitate plots and relationships and to make planning with other players easier, we’re asking everyone to -- as they get the chance -- put together a shipper! a shipper is just some basic information about your character, as well as a list of potential plots and connections that you’re interested in pursuing, so that you’ve got a jumping off point when you go to plot with other players. some of you already have connection and plot pages up, which is great, but if you don’t yet, now is your chance!

below the cut is a suggested format for your shipper -- you don’t have to follow it if you don’t want, as long as you have some summary of your character’s background and some kind of list of potential plotting ideas, but I’ve found that this format is pretty easy & comprehensive, so if you don’t know where to start, give it a shot!

CONNECTIONS

you can use this section either to list wanted connections (a best friend, a rival…. or get as creative as you want) OR to discuss generally how your character relates to others (what kind of people they like, what kind of people they can’t stand) – either way, this section should give other players a jumping off point for determining how your characters relate to one another. 

this is also where you should put any of the wanted plots you had in your application! you might find people with similar ideas for plots, or 

here are a few questions to jump-start your plotting:

who does your character admire, respect, or look up to?

who does your character spend their free time with? who do they go to for comfort or advice? who does your character go to to blow off steam?

who does your character butt heads with most often? who does your character do their best to avoid?

who surprised your character the most?

who has your character hurt or been hurt by? who knows their secrets, and whose secrets do they know? who does your character trust? who do they distrust?

did your character know anyone before coming to Aradia?

who makes your character feel competitive? who makes them feel capable? who makes them feel anxious?

who do they share classes with? who do they study with? who do they help with schoolwork, or who helps them?

who does your character live with? who have they lived with in the past? a first year roommate? a current roommate?

have your character’s opinions on anyone changed significantly over the course of their time at Aradia?
