Summary:
Rhaenys nods slowly. “I cannot know how it is to lose my dragon, and if the Gods are just I never will. But I know how it is to grieve those I love the most, and I can tell you: it will never quite stop hurting, and there will be days when the hurt will have teeth so sharp you wish to do nothing but weep. And yet.” Her other hand pushes lightly against his chest, atop his heart. “We are dragons. We endure where others falter. We triumph where the rest falls. Grief may never hinder us for long, for our fire and blood burn hotter than all else. It is in our nature to not give up.”
