Umber pinned the living grimoire against the wall, his eyes glowing red as he let out a hiss. "What manner of creature are you? Why have you entered my territory?" He demanded. Something about this woman felt unnatural. She did not feel human or demonic (at least something he knew). She was an anomaly to him and he did not like those types of surprises.
The brunette had minded her own business of course, but when she felt her back slammed back against a wall, her eyes went wide in surprise.
“…What are you talking abo–”
Her expression froze momentarily when he asked what she was, her snippy response caught in her throat. A single fist clenched as she snorted, irritably.
“I have no reason to tell you anything.”
A new, irritable response took the place of the previous snippy one as she held her hands in the air. It was not like she was important by any stretch of the word’s meaning.
“‘Sides, it’s not like it really matters to you, mmh?”
The grimoire felt her irritation grow as she shoved her face closer to Umber’s with a glare.
