→ send me ♩ for my muse to catch yours singing in the shower
He didn’t mean to eavesdrop, to listen in on his good friend while he’s in the shower no less, but he can’t help nature’s call nor can he help the fact that the bathroom he really needs right now is currently occupied. Byunghun knocks, but there’s no answer (most likely it’d gone unheard with how loud the shower is), and when he tries the door handle it’s locked (understandably). He groans, leaning his forehead against the door - which is when he starts to hear Baekhyun’s voice from the other side of it.
At first he’s hopeful, thinking he might have heard him, but it isn’t long before he realizes that the other isn’t talking, he’s singing, and he’s struck for a moment by disappointment before it soon melds into amused endearment. Somehow, he really isn’t surprised that he sings in the shower, at all, and Byunghun barely thinks about it before settling down on the floor, back leaned against the door as he listens and waits for the other to finish up.
It isn’t a song he recognizes, can put his finger on the name or the group, but he has the feeling it isn’t one of EXO’s songs (since befriending Baekhyun, he’d, admittedly, listened to a lot more of their music). It’s nice though, even if it isn’t the kind of song he normally enjoys - it’s a bit too slow, not enough energy despite the beautiful tone of the other’s voice. There’s no denying how good of a singer he is.
When he hears the water eventually get turned off, silence befalling the bathroom, Byunghun reaches back to rap his knuckles against the surface of the door, calling out.
“It’s unfair how even in the shower your singing is still a hundred times better than mine,” he complains, but there’s laughter in his tone even as he continues, joking around. “Next time sing one of Teen Top’s songs, got it? If I’m gonna have to wait so long to use the bathroom because of you, you should make it worth it for me.”
