First Contact
Ryder was walking through the Tempest on their way to the front to talk with Peebee about some of the Remnant readings on their last trip ground side.
They walked down the hall leading to the front of the ship when they pass by Vetra who right after walking by, turns around and quickly puts puts her hand on Ryders shoulder and swings them back and pushes them against the wall.
Ryder, surprised look up at Vetra, the 6 foot 4 tall Mercenary was always a little imposing up close.
“Shit Vetra, you uhh...” Ryder coughs nervously “Uhhh...”
Vetra Keeps her hand pressed on Ryders chest, keeping them pinned against the wall as she looks down both ends of the hallway for other crew members.
It’s clear.
She then looks down at Ryder, head cocked a little sideways, looking into Ryder’s eyes.
After a moment of of silent analyzing she asks.
“The flirting. I’ve noticed it.” she said almost pointedly.
“Oh that.. ahaha, yeah. I-” Ryder began before Vetra cut them off again.
“What exactly are you hoping to gain with all of it hmm pathfinder?” She said, keeping her hand pressed firmly into Ryders chest.
“I uhh... wow. oh gosh... ok.... well.” Ryder stumbled.
Vetra tilted her head a little more sideways, feeling Ryders heartbeat against her hand, it was racing, though Ryder wasn’t breathing fast at all, almost not at all.
“Well actually I was kind of hoping that maybe-” Before ryder could finish Vetra swooped down and pressed her mouth firmly against Ryders. Ryder’s eyes opened wide in surprise while Vetra kept hers closed. The Turian had to bend down to reach Ryder and she kept her hand pressed against the pathfinder.
They held this for a few moments longer before Vetra retreated.
“Hmm.” The Turian hummed.
“Something a little more serious then?” She said.
Ryder took a moment to get their brain into a functional state “Yea. yea yes, Most yea. I’m, yea. that.”
Vetra smiled, with Turians it’s mostly in the eyes, but this was unmistakably a smile. She turned to leave trailing her hand up and off of Ryders shoulder before letting it fall back to her side.
“Good. I wasn’t looking for just some fling. See you tonight Pathfinder.” and with that Vetra swung around the corner, gone as fast as she appeared.
Ryder stood there a hand on the wall for support. Their knees felt like they were going to collapse.
What the hell just happened. They thought.
They remembered to breathe again once their head started to get a little dizzy.
Vetra’s final words sent thoughts racing through their minds.
What was it they had to do?
