An Apology
Okay, this is going to be the last post about Shane’s letter until something major happens, I swear. But I need to say this.
I want to apologize to the members of Rooster Teeth who had nothing to do with Shane’s letter yet are still getting harassed by people. I can’t imagine how it must feel, and I would like to sincerely apologize because those being affected don’t deserve it.
Guys, this is unacceptable.
We’re suppose to be a family. Yes, the letter was hurtful and really sad, but we don’t know both sides of the story. One thing I do know is that just because we don’t know who did what doesn’t mean we can all just go around harassing employees from Rooster Teeth. BUT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SOME PEOPLE ARE DOING!! It’s frustrating, they don’t deserve that. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and no one has been proven guilty so at the moment, they are all innocent.
I understand, it hurts. What was in Shane’s letter was heart-breaking and we don’t know whether or not it’s true. But Shane did not name anyone, so neither should we. Please remember, they were affected by Monty’s death too! For a second, put yourself in their shoes. Right now, they’re having to face basically a whole fandom that’s upset and pointing fingers at them about something that most likely none of their faults and they have to remain professional because they are, remember, A COMPANY. This is why I feel like they deserve some sort of an apology.
Disclaimer: I myself do not, and I never have, blame any of the Rooster Teeth employees for what happened. I don’t know the full story, and like I said earlier, I am remaining neutral until I do, if I ever do. I feel bad for Shane, but I also feel bad for some of the Rooster Teeth employees. Guys, they don’t deserve this so please stop blaming them for something that many of them had no part of. They all loved Monty too.
