First, the talks during breakfast and why almost no one is normal in this castle !
Lady Betsy thinking that the subject of childbirth is an appropriate one to talk about with a 10 years old child during breakfast :
MC : "What kind of dinner talk was this ?", exactly what I was wondering... What went through Lady Betsy’s mind here exactly ?😅 Not to forget the level of details...
Esme the Yandere (Yanderesme ?) : "Ceres is so annoying." he adds, stabbing his food with more force. His plate rattles ever so slightly due to his force.
"He thinks that he can just come in here and try to take away what belongs to me, bastard bastard…" You raise an eyebrow, this is out of character. You’ve never seen Esme this angry and did Ceres try taking his toy ?
If Esme is indeed a secret RO, then Luceydell and Aden have some serious competition...
And "did Ceres try taking his toy ?", oh MC, you sweet summer child. Depends on what (who) the "toy" is 🤣
Ceres’ mother trying to arrange a marriage between one of her children and a nephew/niece/nibling she doesn’t know. Casually asking a 10 years old kid if they are looking for a marriage partner over breakfast 😅
Is Romance the only woman in Brutus’ army, the one Ceres’ father mentions ? I wonder if Romance could be "F" from the secret ROs, as we are supposed to meet them in prologue part 1 and she seems important enough 🤔 And the irony of ROMANCE being a secret romance with such a blatant name !
I didn’t expect the talk with one of Brutus’ wives (certainly Lady Mey’Low here, the one mentioned by the servant at the end of the demo) to be that informative :
"Goddess Virgin says that you’re in despair, she is aware of your troubles ; the man, Allis and Leif. She is always aware. You’re in danger… but it must happen. If it doesn’t, you’ll die." […] "She says you’ll live on, though your life will be in shambles. But you’ll get a change – a chance to take your revenge. An she knows you will." [...] "You shouldn’t fear, I should be the one scared but I’m not. The Goddess Virgin has told me that I am going to die tomorrow. She said you will live and others as well. Not Brutus or Betsy or any of the brides he has."
Interesting, still obscure enough but interesting 🤔I wonder if the MC will ever get the opportunity to talk with this Goddess, she seems very interesting and involved in their life in some way.
If the MC chooses to wait before going to the lesson :
"I’m doing nothing," Ceres says brightly. "Just about to help my mother pick some flowers down at the garden !"
Esme shakes his head […] "You can’t." Ceres pauses. "Why not, huh ?" […] "Father has ordered not to mess around, he recently left something there." Esme says.
I guess we now know where Bellamy was buried (unless Esme just lied to Ceres) …
And… what is wrong with these two kids ? We have yandere Esme already, and Ceres making implicit threats here (or is it just a genuine warning ?) : "Ceres looks at him, the smile gone. "Are you dumb ? You aren’t. So stop playing dumb." […] "My father says boys who are dumb shouldn’t live," Ceres says softly. "People might think the same. They might see you as an easy kill. Something easy." He looks away, voice quieter. "That’s what Father tells me. It’s a scary world, Esme." It also shows that both Esme and Ceres have a hidden side the MC is unaware of and that Ceres, at least, is a lot more mature already than he pretends to be.
During the talk with Brandy in the garden :
Brandy says that Jasmine went back home to her husband but will come back with a gift for the MC. I wonder if she will really come back before Leif’s attack. She probably left when Brutus executed that dancer, is her excuse even true or did she leave to avoid accusations and execution ?
If we choose baking as the MC’s hobby :
We learn that Bellamy’s favourite pie is a cherry pie. Isn’t Emil’s favourite one also the cherry pie (from that old scenario ask) ? If so, what a sweet coincidence for the grandmother and grandson to share this.
No matter which hobby is chosen, the MC is always trying, in vain, to help or please Bellamy, I guess it will be paralleled later with Emil trying the same (with piano ?) and MC either not caring or rejecting him.
Albert :
I didn’t dare to choose Allis as the guard who accompanies MC to town because I dread what this monster would do even here 😬 However I tried with Romance and of course Albert, Bellamy's traitorous lover. So Albert feels guilty for what he did to Bellamy, I’m surprised as I thought he would be an unrepentent assh*le based on how Bellamy thought about him 🤔
If the MC chooses to eat at "Mrs and Mr Eaters" :
We learn that the couple who owns it once tried to poison Lady Qwen, is it after the poisoning that she started getting these "messages" from Goddess Virgin ? Why wasn't this couple executed ? Doesn’t Brutus know about their involvement in the poisoning ?
If we choose to eat at the food stalls :
Is the boy we cross paths with, the one with blue hair and violet eyes, Coyote ? I wonder if that makes him a fling that can turn out to be a RO, probably Secret RO "F" then … 🤔 (but then I will accuse anyone of being Secret F at this point 😅)
Or could Albert be "F" instead ? I think that I remember you sharing that "F" is full of guilt and regrets, and Albert is obviously full of regrets (but so is Romance hmm 🤔🤔), and will also be close to 40 years old when the MC is 21, isn’t there a RO who is supposed to be 43 years old ? I remember something like that… Unless he really sees the MC as his child, in this case it can’t be him. Still, MC having a romance with the man their mother loved and who betrayed her would be very angsty.
Drunk Betsy :
I almost felt bad for her, until I remembered how what she did to Bellamy and how fake she is, though I can understand her better now and she doesn’t feel like the typical stepmother villain just for the sake of it.
Goddess Virgin :
First, Lady Mey’low, then Lady Qwen, this Goddess Virgin seems very interested in the MC’s fate, I really hope the MC gets to talk to her at one point. She is the Goddess between Heaven and Hell so she must also know a lot about the demon plaguing MC’s bloodline.
Lady Qwen about Goddess Virgin : "She is a sin, gave birth to one. Though many people have given birth to sins." I wonder if Lady Qwen hints at MC’s birth here (and maybe also Emil’s future birth) when she says that "many people have given birth to sins". Could the demon, or Lady Mey’low (for we know that she talked to Bellamy about MC around the time of their birth or when they were still very young), have told Bellamy about MC being a "curse" in some way, is that part of the reasons why she is so certain that MC is a "Damned" ?

Maybe Romance is the secret ro ehehe....

And I did want child!MC and Emil to be paralleled, how Child!MC wants to please their mother like what Emil wants to do for their parent!

"Is the boy we cross paths with, the one with blue hair and violet eyes, Coyote ?" : YES, it is Coyote, that's the future Fling you meet that I mentioned in the devlog, he's an orphan street kid who turned Jester.
