The Signless looked down at his screen and read the messages himself and Almeis had just exchanged. His rage simmered at his old friend being a slave yet again and he blankly wondered what situation Almeis could possibly be in. He had said he had a master so perhaps it had something to do with that.
Nonetheless, Kassim decided he would find out when he reached Almeis. He got up from his desk and quickly walked out his door. He almost wanted to run to his old friend. It had been so long and they had so much to catch up on. He just hoped everything was okay with Almeis and that whatever situation he was in it was not too horrid.
When he saw the Psionic standing just down the hall in the doorway of a hive block a wide smile spread on his face and he increased his pace. Though, as he got closer he realized that Almeis had face paint on and was not wearing his color. As Kassim finally stopped in front of him he wanted to embrace Almeis but instead just quirked an eyebrow. What could have possibly gotten into his old friend?
