Well...I'm not that great at writing but...Here it is! This big long thing I wanted to write. It's kind of a school AU. Mike and I have been talking about a supernatural school for OCs for a while now and I wanted to write a silly thing for it, think Hogwarts with less magic and more angel and demon OCs. Also humans and Ghosts.
I don't think I was able to mentuion all the OCs in this but.....I did mention: Danni, Timothy, Kai, Claire, Pandora, Jessica, Calvin, Dominick, Fern and Blue. Of course Spooks as well uwu I hope that's okay and I'M SO SORRY IF I DIDN'T PUT YOUR OC IN THIS. I TRIED. Also, I'm sorry if your characters arent in character, i did my best!
The summery of this is Spooks decides to play a prank on Timothy and things go too far.
Timothy wasn't exactly the best target. He was scrawny and his knees seemed to knock together every time he stood still. He was like a frightened little butterfly in a world of playful cats. All ready to swat at him and break his wings. He was so easily flustered and scared, that it was almost impossible to talk to him.
Spooks knew the drill by now. Timothy would walk out of his dorm, head down the hall, out to the main yard, then around the school to the little coffee shop that was meant only for angels. Spooks knew the times by heart, so he knew exactly when Timothy would walk around that corner. He could already hear the angel talking with another friend. Fern, was her name, but Spooks wasn't as concerned with her as he was Timothy.
The two angels walked around the corner, both talking about something Spooks didn't care about. Just as they did, Spooks jumped out of hiding, throwing a bucket of ice cold water on the taller angel.
Timothy, now soaking wet, began to shake where he stood. As expected, his knees knocked together, his face turned red and he covered his face with his hands. His shoulders were shaking and it was obvious that he was crying. Fern who had been watching in horror put a hand on Timothy's back as he tried to hold back sobs.
Spooks on the other hand....Was laughing where he floated. He had his hands pressed against his stomach as the laughter came from him, making his sides hurt. He almost fell to the ground the more he laughed, he barely noticed the crying angel. All that was on his mind was the horrified look on Timothy's face as the water hit him.
“You should be ashamed of yourself.” Fern said sternly, making the laughing demon look to her.
He wiped a tear from his eyes and glanced to Timothy, smile still on his face as he seen the tears falling down the angel's face.
“Aw come on! It was only a prank!” He said, still snickering a bit to himself. “It's funny!”
“I don't think it's very funny.” Fern said, using the hand on Timothy's back to push him forward so they could continue walking.
Spooks turned around, his shoulders slacking. He couldn't believe she didn't find Timothy getting soaked to be hilarious. A wet angel is probably the funniest thing Spooks could think of.
“Hey! It was a joke! What are you gonna do?” He yelled after her, waving his arms above his head.
“No flying on school grounds!” Fern called over her shoulder, making Spooks place his feet firmly on the ground out of habit. He was always being told to do that.
Spooks flicked his hair out of his face and crossed his arms. Of course they couldn't take a joke. They were angels. Every angel Spooks had ever met ended up being a total snob, he didn't know why he wasted his time with them.
As the rest of the school day went on, Spooks had noticed a few angels glaring him down in the halls. He brushed it off as nothing, not really caring. Angels always gave him nasty looks, it was normal. He didn't suspect a thing. When he walked out of his last class he was surprised to find that someone was waiting outside for him.
He wasn't able to see who they were, but he did feel the water splash against his face and the bucket land over his head. Water soaked through his uniform, sending a chill down his spine and his shirt stuck to him uncomfortably. That was when he heard the laughter. He pushed the bucket up a bit to chance a look and seen that he was surrounded by other students. All laughing --some pointing-- at him. In front of him was an angel. Not just any angel, but one of the worst. Dominick Lacey. He was hunched over laughing. Next to him was Fern who had a small smile on her face, beside her was a laughing human, Kai Lawrence. He had an arm around an unsure looking Timothy who put a hand over his mouth to keep from laughing. At that moment, he realized that Fern must have told the other angels what happened and Dominick thought it would be funny to get some payback.
Spooks rolled his eyes and threw the bucket at Dominick who caught it. Spooks fixed his skirt, loosened his tie and put his hands on his hips.
“Wow, you sure got me good.” Spooks said, sarcastically, “Doing the same thing I did to Timothy, but in public? Incredible, hot stuff.”
“Oh, I didn't do exactly the same thing.” Dominick commented, holding the bucket behind his back with a smug smile.
“What are you talking about?” Spooks asked, looking down at himself. There was no dye in the water, it wasn't dirty or anything. It was just water. That was when he felt a bit of burning on his face. The burning turned to itching and the itching to red patches on his skin.
Spooks looked down at his trembling hands, they were turning redder and redder by the second, beginning to burn. He looked up at the angel before him who still had that smug look on his face.
“What did you do?!” Spooks screeched as his eyes now began to burn not only from the tears that were forming, but the water that had gotten in his eyes. He could even feel his throat closing up from the little bit that he had swallowed.
“Holy water.” Was all Dominick said and it was enough to make the demon's whole world crash around him.
Spooks' eyes went wide and he looked around the crowd for an opening. He had to get back to his dorm as fast as he could. The laughing started up again and Spooks felt like his dead heart was going to suddenly start beating loudly in his chest. Everything around him was spinning, he knew he'd pass out. Unknown to most, holy water worked differently than thought. Luckily, it was more like an allergic reaction than burning the demon and turning it to dust.
Spooks began to breath heavy, his vision clouding up. He knew he was going to pass out now, he felt it. That was when the laughing suddenly stopped and everyone scattered. Spooks heard a yelp come from Dominick, but that was all he heard before he fell over into someone's arms.
When Spooks woke up, he wasn't sure where he was. He jolted up and looked down. Orange blanket, ghost sheets. The walls were covered in band posters and a few pentagrams. He fell back on the bed and sighed. His body hurt and itched, he went to itch his cheek, but his hand was swatted away.
“Don't itch it.” Came the voice that Spooks loved to hear so much. He smiled and turned his head to the side.
“Hey, Blue.” He said.
“'Hey, Blue.' Is that seriously how you're gonna play this?” The woman asked, crossing her arms.
“Yep. Did you hurt Dominick? You didn't have to.” Spooks said, looking at her with a frown. She sighed and uncrossed her arms.“No, I just pushed him out of the way. He might have fallen a little too hard though. I bet you'd be happy to know Cal caught you and Jessica got you some itching cream.” She said, leaning down by the freckled boy's bed, “What did you even do?”
Spooks turned his head to look at the ceiling, “I poured water on Timothy.”
“Timothy?” She asked, her eyes going wide. “Big baby Timothy? Spooks what were you thinking?!”
Spooks shrugged as best he could, the frown he had never seeming to leave. It didn't seem to fit right on his usually happy, smiley face.
“Spooks....Did you make him cry?” Blue asked, then froze “What am I saying? Of course you did.”
Spooks nodded solemnly. Now that he thought about it, pranking Timothy was a bad idea, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. He should have just stuck with pranking his close friends, not people he sometimes flirted with just to see them blush and stutter.
“What are you gonna do?” Spooks asked, looking back to Blue.
“This is war now.” She said, slamming her fist against her palm. “There's no way we're letting those angels get away with hurting you.”
When the next day rolled around, Spooks stayed close to Blue. She had a plan and he was glad to have her on his side, even if he didn't want this to turn into a big fuss. She had a big smile on her face as they were walking through the halls. Spooks wasn't sure what was on her mind, but he wasn't very concerned. He was almost over the whole thing, his rash had settled down and he even gave a friendly wave to Timothy who returned it. Although the friends with Tim gave Spooks an evil look. Kai, Timothy's human friend mostly. Besides that, all seemed well until they sat down to eat breakfast.
They were at a booth with a few friends, Spooks was flirting around with Calvin like usual, Jessica beside him getting a laugh from all the wise cracks the demon was making. Blue kept her eyes on the entrance, she didn't even seem to chuckle at all the comments Spooks was making like she usually did, but he didn't really mind. She was probably more upset about all this than he was.
Then a piercing scream erupted from the entrance and in ran an unknown figure. Whoever they were, they ran right to the table the four were at. That was when Spooks got a good look at them. It was Dominick and his hair was dyed completely bright orange. He looked to Spooks, jabbing a finger at the teeny demon.
“What did you do?!” He asked, a look of terror mixed with anger on his face.
Blue grabbed the angel's finger and gave him a smirk.
“Not him. Me.” She said and Dominick took his finger back.
“Y-You..?” He took a step back.
“Alright, darling...Wanna play that game? Just you wait.” He said, backing away from the table and walking out.
Blue banged her fists against the table and laughed loudly. She seemed to be overjoyed, but the others not so much.
“Do you really have to do this?” Spooks asked, a large frown on his face. “Someone could get hurt.”
“Spooks is r-right...Maybe y-you should call this off.” Jessica suggested, but Blue wasn't the type to back out of a challenge.
“I won't call this off until he pays for what he did.”
“Pretty sure changing his hair color was punishment enough.” Calvin chimed in and Spooks nodded.
“Blue, please? Me and Timothy are both over it--"
“No way! Me and him might be friends, but he could have seriously hurt you. I bet your eyes haven't even recovered.” Blue argued and Spooks looked down. That was true.
“So? We've hurt lots of people with out pranks. Like that time we accidentally pushed that Jonathan kid down the stairs.” The demon muttered, then glanced up at her, “Plus I thought you were crushing on Dominick.”
Blue choked on air, giving Spooks a look that told him to shut his mouth, but of course...Everyone at the table was looking at her.
“I-I do not!” She said, her face turning red.
“You guys pick on each other a lot, it wouldn't surprise me.” Calvin said, “You're worse than me and Spooks.”
Blue stood up from the table and crossed her arms.
“Whatever. I don't like him, you guys are insane.” She said before walking away from the table.
Spooks looked between his two friends and shrugged.
“She likes him, I've read her diary.”
When it was time for lunch, Spooks walked down the halls talking to his friend Danni about some cat he'd seen the other day. She was the daughter of the head of the school, both of them actually. Like usual around this time, the two had gathered with more friends. Spooks always liked to walk in groups when walking to lunch, that way they could all sit together. So he'd usually strike a conversation with Pandora or Claire. As they walked by a hallway, a demon ran into Claire who wasn't too happy about that. He ignored the look on her face and ran off down the hall.
“What was that about?” Pandora asked as Claire stood up, brushing herself off.
"Seriously." She said, looking in the direction that the demon that had trampled her went.
Just as those words left her lips, more demons were running down the halls past them. All of them yelling or complaining about something, Spooks couldn't tell with all of them talking at the same time. Finally Spooks got a hold of a demon who looked more distressed than any of the others.
“What's going on?”
“The angels!” The demon said, jumping up and down where he stood. “They poured salt in front of all the bathrooms! No demons can get in!”
“Did you check the one downstairs?” Danni asked and the demon nodded.
“We've checked them all and now we all are heading to the outside ones until the janitors sweep it up!” That was the last thing he said before running away.
The three looked to Spooks who put his hands up.
“No worries, I don't have to go.” He said and they all sighed in relief.
As the week went on, the war raged on. More demons got in on it and more angels. It was hard to even walk through the hallways without getting hit by something. Buckets of paint hung over doors, shampoo was traded with dye's and hair remover, even the food wasn't save. It was getting out of control and Spooks had had enough. He tried to confront Blue, but she wouldn't have it. She was too concerned with getting back at Dominick and when he tried to talk to Dominick? He got hit in the face with a water balloon full of week old pudding. Spooks wasn't sure what to do anymore, so he did the last thing he wanted to.
Spooks waited around the corner, leaning up against the brick building. It was that time again, all he had to do was wait. He had memorized the times over and over again, this day it had to be perfect.
When Timothy finally did turn around the corner, Spooks was cut short by Kai darting in front of the angel. Spooks looked unamused and crossed his arms.
“What are you? His body guard now?” The little demon asked, making the human give him a glare.
“From now on, yeah. It's one way to get me and him even.” Kai said as the angel looked over his shoulder, “What do you want anyways? You gonna make him cry again?”
Spooks' shoulders slouched and he reached a hand to scratch at the back of his neck. He was seriously beginning to feel bad about that. Him and Timothy might not be close, but he still didn't want to make him cry. He didn't want to make anyone cry.
“No...I'm not. I wanted to apologies, actually.” Spooks said, sheepishly looking to the ground.
“A-Apologies?” Timothy asked from behind his human guard.
“Yeah...I'm really sorry, okay? I didn't mean to make you cry, I just wanted to play a joke on you. I was...I was kinda hoping you'd laugh.” Spooks said slowly, looking over at the two.
Kai let Timothy come out of hiding and the brunet gave Spooks a small smile. The demon returned it.
“You can hit me if you want.” Spooks said, but Timothy shook his head.
“No worries. A-All is well.” He said and Spooks was relieved for a moment, but that soon left when a loud crash came from the building.
“We need to stop this.” He said, taking Timothy's hand.
“W-W-What?!” Timothy almost shrieked in terror.
“We have to stop them! They're seriously gonna hurt each other.” Spook said sternly, pulling Timothy towards the school entrance.
“I-I-I can't!” Timothy tried to get his hand loose and with the help of Kai, he was able to. “I can't!”
“And, why not?!” Spooks asked, not meaning to yell at the skittish angel, but he was angry and tired of all this bullshit.
“I-I have b-been trying to s-stay away from it...I already g-got hit with water o-once, I don't w-want it to happen again.” The angel spoke, tugging at the sleeves of his shirt.
“Timothy, we started this, we have to end it.” Spooks walked up to the angel and put a hand on his shoulder, trying to look reassuring. “You can let Kai stand in front of you.”
The human slouched a bit and sigh, “...Yeah...”
“See? Come on! You can do it.” Timothy didn't look too sure, but he still nodded anyways. If it was only up to him and Spooks, he would do it.
“O-Okay..”
Both demon and angel fought back and forth in the hallways. It was like they weren't even trying anymore. Now they were just throwing things. Water balloons full of many different things, food, even a few paperwads. It was almost sad.
Timothy, Spooks and Kai stood at the top of the stairs where all could see, they glanced to each other before Spooks spoke up.
“Blue!” He called getting the attention of the girl about to throw a balloon at one of the demons. With that, everyone paused, looking to the three. Behind them, a few other students came to see what was going on.
“Blue! It's over!” Spooks yelled down at her, “Me and Timothy are here to tell you to stop being a bunch of babies!”
Spooks looked to Timothy. He knew the guy wasn't good at talking to crowds, so he grabbed Timothy's hand and pulled him forward.
“We started this and now we're ending it! So you guys can all just shut up!”
Blue looked from the two on the stairs and over at Dominick who shrugged. With a sigh, she knew that she couldn't fight with Spooks. Blue let the balloon in her hand fall to the ground, Dominick soon did the same.
“Now, kiss and make up!” Spooks yelled down at the two who both grimaced, “No! Like...Shake hands or somethin'!”
Both seemed hesitant, but walked out from behind the other demons and angels, meeting in the middle. Dominick was the first to hold out his hand, a big grin on his face. Blue just rolled her eyes and shook it roughly, before bringing her's back.
“Happy?!” She screamed up at Spooks who smiled, turning to Timothy.
“Are you happy?” He asked and Timothy nodded, “Now was that really so har-”
Spooks was cut off by a bright red balloon coming right towards him, he ducked and laughed at Blue's failed attempt at hitting him, that was until he heard a few gasps behind him. Even Blue's face turned into a look of concern.
Spooks looked behind him and seen that Timothy was now covered in the contents of the balloon. It looked to be red paint. He slowly opened his eyes, big tears in the corners of them. Both Spooks and Kai seemed at a loss of what to do.
“T-Timothy..? Are you okay?” Spooks asked, reaching a hand out, but before he could even touch the angel, a balloon hit him in the face.
He was stunned and stood frozen as he heard Timothy begin to laugh, holding up another balloon.
“What...You..?” Timothy nodded and Spooks smirked playfully.
“You wanna start a war? Well now you've got one!” Spooks looked down at Blue who threw a balloon with all her might. Spooks caught it and held it ready.
Timothy yelped and ran behind Kai, but Spooks threw it anyways, making it hit the human directly in the face. Over Kai came the other balloon that Timothy had been holding onto and it splashed down on the top of Spooks' head. This one was full of yellow paint and it covered most of Spooks' face and hair.
Just like that, the back and forth battle continued, but there were no teams this time. Everyone was aiming for everyone and even the ones not caught up in the fight joined in. Spooks was almost proud of the war he had started. At least now it wasn't too dangerous.
“Did you have fun?” Blue asked from where she was, a sponge in her hand.
“You know it!” Spooks said from where he was mopping the floors.
“I'm not having fun now!” Dominick called from not so far down the hall where he was wiping down the walls with Timothy and a few others. They were among the ones given responsibility to clean up the mess, it was a big mess that not even the janitors would touch.
“Hey, just wait till next time!” Blue answered with a laugh.
“N-Next time?!” Timothy squeaked, making the two demons laughed.
“How about next time we leave Big baby Timothy out of this?” Spooks suggested.
“You're the one that has to make that promise.” Blue said with a wink.
“I never break a promise.” Spooks said as Blue walked over. She ruffled the boy's paint splattered hair and knocked her fist softly against his jaw.
“You are such a troublemaker.” She said, chuckling as she went to wiping some odd substance from the wall closest to them.
