Anyone worked as a kitchen porter in wagamama's? What's it like?
Geniunely terrified for Saturday now. I'm not scared of hard work, which being a Kitchen Porter definitely is. I'm not 'above' washing dishes for a living, shit I can't do much else.
But the general concensus on the internet, seems to be that its a really shit job. Hot, relentless and stressful.
It seems like a lot of places have no ventilation in the kitchen, so I'll be constantly hot and humid, which won't be fun.
And the chefs treat you like shit. Shouting at you and all that. Which I know I'll handle badly. The popular opinion is that if the kitchen staff are nice, you'll be ok.
I'm just so scared that I'll fuck up and get screamed at.
Fuck me, this is the first interview stage I've gotten to in nearly ten months. I should really be happier about this. Not terrified.

Got dragged off to the new Pandora store opening in White City's Westfield. Bought mum a silver bracelet for her birthday and got jojolovesfasion.tumblr.com a new charm for the one I bought her in April this year for our one year anniversary. With every purchase, you could choose a random draw that had a free gift within it from this tower within the shop- as an opening promotion. Anyway, I choose well and got another silver Pandora bracelet worth £55 for free! While the girlfriend managed to randomly select two charms, that's value totaled to £65, suffice to say she ended up being 3 charms richer and I now have 2 bracelets to fill for her :P Lucky girl eh?
We then had a quick lunch that I won't be reviewing as I forgot to snap any pictures. This was at the Wagamamas branch in Westfield. I had a Chicken Katsu Curry and thought it was one of the most blandest dishes i've ever had, but service was very good.
All in all a good morning, work is going well and have managed to get my hours up to full time!
