So, in Brazilian politics news, the left-leaning Workers’ Party has declared support for Waguinho, pre-candidate for this year’s elections in the city Belford Roxo, in the state Rio de Janeiro. Waguinho, from the Brazilian Democratic Movement party, is an enthusiastic supporter of the far-right president Jair Bolsonaro and his family. Six former presidents of the party have written a letter questioning the decision (which won in a 40 x 36 vote). The Workers’ Party participated in the 2016 Waguinho campaign and had two secretariats in his mayorship.
