Sonic’s brows knit. He knows where this line of discussion is going, and at the risk of sounding somewhat rude, he’s going to cut in before it goes any further.
“So what-- I should just leave ya’ all alone? Man, screw that! ...I know what you’re gonna say, that we’re all better off, and that we’ll regret gettin’ involved when something goes wrong. But who’s to say it’s gonna?” His hands clasp tight, and his eyes burn with a sort of certainty.
“...It’s true that I don’t know everything you’ve had to deal with, or what your whole situation’s like. But that doesn’t matter! Everybody needs somebody...we can’t just go drifting through life all by ourselves! So don’t worry about me...if anybody tries somethin’...I’ll knock ‘em into next week for ya’, just watch!”
