A bit difficult to find, but we made it to the sand dunes!
Waiparous || The second time we visited Waiparous is more forgiving than the last time - albeit cloudy, no rain and still a beauty.
We celebrated a friend’s birthday and it’s always nice to be able to spend time with friends in nature like this.
Visiting the Waiparous Creek is a 4x4-only territory and glad one of our friends were able to bring us over there with his off-road vehicle! It truly was a hidden gem- so peaceful and beautiful. And to be able to see these views in our jeans and no hiking boots is an absolute plus!
Waiparous || It’s snowing. In May! Why?! My friends spontaneously decided to go for a drive at the Waiparous Village, and we agreed since it’s only a half hour drive from us. We did not know the roads will be like that and the weather conditions will be like this. Definitely put our SUV to it’s off-road test! It’s still beautiful at the “summit” with this view and huge snow flakes coming down- and I can only imagine this place in the summer. It’s also a good thing to be able to drive up to this type of elevation and enjoy this beautiful weather without having to hike up.
