ok i speedran this genuinely but

i bet 0 dollars ( im broke ) that this is the same thing but different ending. They have same eye thing AND i noticed they have very similar scissor weapon thing type situation ( i forgot the name of her weapon 😭 its been a while ); half of the blue costumes one is missing like emos and has the same chain that emo has. im gonna sound so silly if they said this in the stream i didnt watch it very intently LMAO i was just there to see tk and quaso splash art ( veyr sad gummy isnt out yet please give me funny gummy man ) PLUS quaso is emo-ifying so i am pretty convinced on my theory Anyway i couldnt color pick for the blue costume so i just bullshitted it and quite frankly i like the colours and im a bit salty knowing its probably gonna be super saturated in the actual game. ALSO they better fucking add the emo costume at some point ill lose my mind if they dont

light yagami's black-and-white mindset is so interesting and i want people to expand on it more. like that one time where he sincerely considered killing the bullies at his school. the only (stated) thing that prevented him from following through with the kill is the fact that it was too closely connected to him. it wasn't the fact that they were also still kids, nor the fact that being kids meant they had more of a chance to still change for the better, but the fact that it would up his chances on getting caught. which is so insanely interesting to me.

following this logic would imply a belief that anything that rots stays rotten-- which ironically is exactly the same kind of mindset that light's initially trying to combat. light yagami fights under the impression that the only way to restore justice and protect the innocent is through extreme methods (since the current method of a courtroom is clearly flawed). his extreme methods consist of, as we all know, executing criminals, making an example out of them, and then uniting all the "righteous" civilians under a benevolent god. this way, in his eyes, all the wicked have been plucked and the remaining will never step close to crime because of the fear of being next.

that's christianity. light yagami has re-created christianity.

those exact three things can all be found in the bible (or at least the one i read). and they also can be found in american and british history. y'know because of christianity. no matter how much you try you cannot eradicate christianity from these histories because of how influential it was in the culture. this is also why you can't pluck it from american law either. light yagami is not american, but this still applies to other justice systems as well. religion is such an integral part of early society i would argue you couldn't strip a religion from any nation's law. light yagami does not restore justice, he creates a religion, which is why the justice system he's fighting exists in the first place. he just restarted the cycle. and that is so incredibly ironic to me.

he is a teenager and it shows. he is so incredibly detached from both life and death and it shows. i don't even know how this turned into me talking about religion this whole thought process was sparked from fucking Pumped Up Kicks i need to put this man in a blender.

this is something i wanna sit to dissect in-depth later, but..... a possible idea that has been consuming me is håkan becoming the leader-king of the archipelago after the war against grimmel and the warlords. like, yeah! the bersekers, the hunters, everyone else in the northern tribes have their own leaders, systems and lands, but berk has fingers in so many pies, and hic does become a moving force in those other regions, even if he doesn't mean to.

granted, the political organisation in medieval scandinavian societies was completely different from what we know in western european monarchies, it was more of a coalition of chieftains and warlords rather than a central power, but! some reports describe certain chiefs as "the chief of chieftains" or "leading axes". and considering how divided and chaotic the archipelago is pre-dragons, i think it'd be the cause of concern for some places, especially since they used to be more united before. and it'd be interesting, yk? maybe stoick himself would've tried to form alliances and make a more unified block, but no one could agree on who should lead. but when håkan takes over, he's seen favourably in berk and in other lands already. combine that with his feats as a dragon rider and all his overly-sung beast-taming skills, his inventions, his victory over viggo, krogan, johann, drago and later on, grimmel and the warlords (all formidable foes)....... and i think he'd be seen as an example to be followed and have a bigger say than even he himself expects when he is called to assemblies.

like. imagine being crowned king when you didn't think you were worthy of anything in the first place, you know? imagine craving for belonging your whole existence, until you do find it! and now you belong so intrinsically and viscerally that you become a fundamental piece to many, many others. imagine being a king who inspires others so naturally.
