He stood like a statue and perhaps that’s what grabbed her attention. Winter sauntered up to the boy, “You’d think you were made of stone,” Winter commented. She ran a finger down the boys chest, trying to get a reaction out of him.
He recognized the voice, then felt her finger run down his chest. He took another inhale, opening his eyes to look at her, chancing it as he couldn’t remember if she had been one to like eye contact or not. He remembered her being unpredictable and easily bored, out to get her way. She had frightened him, and she had shown herself to be very sweet. He didn’t trust her.
“Well, I don’t have my ukulele to entertain you with...” Dhani chanced a small smile, too. Brief. No, Warren had shattered the thing months ago.
