What does their home look like? Their room?

It’s the Bull’s room, technically. He’s never had his own room for longer than a few nights at a time in a tavern before - it was all barracks and dorms and shared tents before that. But there’s something about a place to call his own he likes. There’s a place to put his crap, even if it’s a reclaimed chest of drawers from the pile of rubble in his room. Doesn’t even mind the hole in the ceiling that much: he’s slept in worse spots.

The change has already started when Dorian stars coming around - rough shelves, covered in the little things he’s started to collect. He moves the rubble out, but the hole stays because it’ll be a pain to fix and the builders have more important things to do around Skyhold.

Dorian moves in gradually; books, to start, and then makeup. The Bull leaves them where they end up at first, but when Dorian doesn’t take them back to his room, he puts them in the proper place. Makeup goes on the vanity - which is a stool and a table with a cracked mirror leaning on the top of it, but it does the trick. He reclaims two of the old bookshelves Cadash doesn’t need in her quarters so he can start putting the books Dorian brings from the library somewhere he’s not going to trip over them.

Eventually, Dorian stops leaving. Eventually, the dresser is full of his clothes. Eventually, when Dorian stands rearranging the Bull’s modest collection of rocks and gems and little statues, the Bull says:

“Moving in, Dorian?”

Dorian’s only reply is a withering look over his shoulder. His staff leans against the wall next to the Bull’s axe, and his boots sit by the door with the Bull’s boots.
